Fantasy Team Names is an independent name library and generator for fantasy football leagues. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the National Football League, any of its clubs, or any fantasy platform. Team and city names appear only to describe and organise original name ideas.

Every name in the library was written for this site. Nothing here is copied from a list published somewhere else, and nothing here is an official nickname, wordmark or trademark of any club. Where a name references a team's history or a city, it does so in the way a fan in a group chat would — as commentary, not as branding.

The generator runs entirely in your browser. Choosing a style and a team filters a static list that is already loaded on the page, and pressing generate picks from that filtered list at random. Saved names are stored in your own browser's local storage and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

If you spot a name that is inaccurate, duplicated, or in poor taste, see the Contact page and we will fix it. The library is revised during the season.
